I'm in Yonkers ACCOBRA. PM or email me if you need too.

Sorry, PD, but the late-model cars have the same setup as the early ones. The only difference is the material they used to cover the bulkhead. The late model cars did have dropped floor pans to give more head room, but my passenger seat won't go all the way back, just like the early cars.

I'd be happy to send a photo, but you wouldn't see much that you can't see on your '73...
Thanks for the offer. I didn't notice the bubble sticking out on the late cars like my '73. I already have that gone and a flat panel in it's place. I was just trying to make it look more factory like.
I put 2" droppedpans in my car and found that I had to shimp the seats up anyway. My eyes were even with the dash board top.
The seats continued to aggrivate me so I got power seat tracks out of a 91 Taurus SHO and put them in. Now I sit for hours playing with the seats. You have up/down, forwar back, rake, tilt, and lumbar support. I think they should have been in the car orriginally.
Since I had Hall redo my seats and he installs a manual lumbar support, with the power seat sytem now it's a power lumbar to. ....and the seats go all the way back Smiler
Now if I can only figure out how to get just a couple of more inches of knee room under the steering wheel I'll be all set. Do you know of anyone with an adjustable column in the Pantera? Maybe I'll just poet that question here?
Apicture of the bulkhead would still help! I'll bet you don't have any snow where you are today?
Oh, doesn't your car have power mirrors in it from the factory?
I'll post pictures of what I have done so far if I can figure where to put them. I am having problems with this site posting pictures. Each one of my pics are comming up over 300mb and are over the limit. Where should I post them in the "pics" section?
The alternator doesn't get relocated, it gets pushed back against the passenger side head. The factory waterpump pulley gets replaced with a new one that pushes the belt back to use the closest pulley groove on the factory crank pulley.
The alternator pulley gets changed to a smaller one so I get some juice out of my 100 amp alternator.
The bubble gets removed from the bulkhead making the remainder of the bulkhead permantently mounted.
The buble gets replace with a flat 3/4" birch veneered plywood panel, with additional panels added to cover the now small diameter pullies projection.
I don't like the way this looks finished. The factory bubble looks better but is an elbow killer for me and interferes with the passenger seat going all the way back. The thin original fiberglass does nothing for sound insulation, the plywood does. The plywood panel is now also removable for servicing the front of the engine without the necessaty for dismateling the interior to get at it.
I like the way it works. I just doen't like the way it looks finished. I had heard the later cars had been modified from the factory for access. I haven't seen any. I want to see what the last version of the factory bulkhead cover looks like.
As I said, does anyone have any pictures of a late bulkhead? Geez, can anyone ask a simple question around here and get a simple response? Now my fingers hurt from pounding the keys. Do buttery nipples make your finger tips feel better?
The pics are from me and the pulleys; alternator and fan are just Jegs aluminum ones (don't remember who made them) and the water pump pulley was made by a pulley shop in Houston, Tx. I can't rember the name of it because of these damn Buttery Nipples.
The mod really helps to get the alternator out of the back of the passenger seat. The custom pulley was about $100 as I recall (it's steel) aluminum was another $50. The Jeg stuff was about $40. All in all a very effective and efficient project.
You do have to do a little welding on the alternator bracket but that's a piece of cake.

PD - This weekend I'll snap some pix for you if you promise not to make any comments about dust in the interior... Last picture I took of the interior with a flash showed off all the warts... It's actually been snowing quite a bit this year (well, quite a bit for Spain!) so I've got the battery disconnected, waiting for sunnier days.

You're just looking for a simple photo of the upholstered rear bulkhead, right?
PD -
I went down and took a couple of pictures, but I'm not really sure what to take a picture of.

Here's 3 - if you'd like closeups of any, let me know. Or if you'd like the originals, let me know your e-mail address and I'll send them on.

Oh, and any dust you may see in the photos is strictly a figment of your imagination. I promise.

In this first picture you can see how the bulkhead is offset and not perfectly symetric
