Joel,
I have just that in 2511, installed by Dennis Quella. In the days - before the long throw slave - this was one way to improve the short throw issue. They are a pain in the real world, though. Very tricky set up tolerances - and then not adjustable or observable once installed. If I had the pieces that were removed in the conversion, I would probably go to the long throw version. I had to rebuild mine when the seals dried out and started leaking - so I learned the tricks and went through the task - but I wouldn't advise anyone else to go that route in this day and age. Quella said he probably would not do them nowadays for the average street car. Racer that gets opened up and inspected and reworked regularly, yes. But not a streeter.
