Greetings. I joined this forum back in 2010 to aid my quest and search for a Pantera. That quest dates back to about 1975 when I first laid eyes on one, up close and personal, at a used car lot.

I've been a Ford vehicle collector and Ford engine builder my entire life. But since the car I bought was the '72 project listed on here by David Huet..I am quite certain that I will be needing a lot of assistance from the experts on here to get that car assembled and on the road again.

Welcome. Your comment about the 400 FMX engine was something of interest. I wasn't familiar with a 400 FMX so I googled it and found it very interesting. I've got a 351c but not sure of it's remaining life...the bigger motors are very interesting. Does anyone know if the 400 FMX has the thin cylinder wall castings? That sticks in the back of my mind since I have a .030 over motor. So if it ever lets go i certainly would look into this. Sounds like a great way to put a 400 into a Pantera.
