It's just you. No really I noticed too. I wrote it off as the kids went back to school, There was Labor day too. Around here, at the end of the month, things slowdown until the 3rd of the new month when people get their SS checks. If it is rainy, or cold, people put stuff off. When the sun comes out after a rain, they start driving and wrecking too. Well maybe.. Bill
Extremely busy at work lately, two kids who just started college, a weekend away to move one to school in SoCal, etc. The demands on my time are never ending. Someday I'll get my Pantera back on the road. Just made an adjustable pushrod to measure the exact pushrod length I need for the new engine.
It could mean that all our cars work perfectly Big Grin

Mission accomplished, so we can erase the Forum?

Or that all the good ones are censored (let's see how long this posting stays, just joking)

Seriously, for me things are slow. I've bought Terry Morofsky's nice 72, it's in SF, will be put in a container and will arrive in Europe at the earliest end of October. I need to sell the current Pantera, but since that's in perfect shape, everything(!) works, no time spent there (except dealing with potiential buyers, plenty of wannabees, and I so want it to go to someone that'll take good care of it). Longchamp is also finished, except I've ordered new discs, waiting for them.

So not a lot going on... Roll Eyes Started listening to my wife, and occasionally help my son with his homework... Wink

I need a translation. Does that mean its cold? (It's not like we don't have odd euphemisms in USA or anything.)

WINE...need any help in the Wine biz? I got over 25 years in the Liquor biz! If nothing else I can help drink the wine!

Actually Dennis, you are way far from boring and I did notice that you've been around. You're not stirring up as much fervor as usual, but glad you're still here with the rest of us. I just figured maybe an alien mother-ship was abducting people and I wondered who'd be next.

Dave, are you also in the packaging business? I'm guessing so with "Boxxboys" as a handle. Nice wine labels.

I've been doing package design work for years and you're right, business is not what it was.

Nice Pair! Used to live not far from there. Last time I toured through that part of SD I was in a '67 Chrysler Newport. Would MUCH rather been in either of those cars!

I grew up just south of the Black Hills in the little town of Chadron, Nebraska. The Corvette belongs to my twin brother who still lives there. Both cars where built in 1972. That sure is a beautiful corner of the world. I would move back in a heartbeat!
I'm around daily, but I'm on vacation, just checking the forums daily via a laptop. I'll be hiking the Grand Canyon today.

The forum statistics are very good, I'm proud of them, we have a very active forum. I changed the length of time a members name remains at the bottom of the summary page after they log-off. It had been set at 60 minutes,I think I lowered it to 10 minutes. So the list of names of members logged-on is often shorter now, but actually more accurate.

Small world. I moved to Chadron right after I graduated from HS. My brother went to the community college there.

interesting-I wondered what happened to the big numbers of peeps that were always online-

I like your original "60 minute rule"-it may give a more accurate snapshot of how many folks there are out there are interested in happenings in the Pantera world.

---besides-it makes your board look that much more important, valuable and useful!

Slow boards these days? I am always checking but don't have much to say either. Pantera has been gone for three weeks now and don't even miss it. I was going to post some progress information on the Fontana stroker engine build up for it, but since there has been no activity on it yet, there just isn't much to say about that subject yet. If anyone is interested in the engine parts list, just chime in.
Can't say that I like either cola, but at least it seems to be sufficiently controversial that four folks have weighed in ... that's more than have commented on the "Import vs U.S.-built" sub-thread that has sprung from the post about Husky Wrenches at Home Depot (Canadian Forum)!

If we really want some activity here, David needs to get another speeding ticket and share the gory details - those threads seem to get the most hits - followed by threads about new engine bling.
I think David sold his Pantera and his Escalade and bought a diesel SMART FourTwo. Something about being more "green", which makes no sense to me because he's not Irish...

I'm thinking of selling mine and buying a Bricklin (Go Canada).

You guys shouldn't drink either Pepsi OR Coke (at least not until they return to the "original" recipe formulation) as all that sugar gets people all high-strung and jumpy.
