I found that if you whack your thumb realy hard with a hammer, time slows down a lot. I suppose if you carried this concept to an extreme, life would seem realy long.
Michael,

Great to hear from you. Missed you at Pocono CSD this year which had a very nice turnout. We were there without the car. My car has been off the road since the engine blew and it predictably turned into a bigger project than just rebuilding the engine. I plan to have it there next year. Hope you can make it.

Michael,
Welcome back ... you did it right - if you're gonna disappear for 6-months, best to do it over the winter while the cats are hibernating.

Hopefully you'll get up to Canada this year - there are a couple of events you and the others in the North-East might enjoy...

Toronto's first annual Italian Car Day will be at the end of August ...

So far there are a half-dozen DeTomaso's registered including Denis' Mangusta ... there's also a rumour that a Vallelunga might show up. I'm looking forward to the 1948 6c 2500SS and the '56 Mazer 200SI!

And of course the Can't-Miss event of the season - The Great Canadian Classic in Kingston, Ontario.

I'm not sure about the 'Life Brakes' though ... Exercise, diet, family, friends and Panteras can help us improve the gradient we're on, the distance we travel, and the scenery that whizzes by; on the other hand, lifting off and/or hitting the brakes at the wrong moment can put you into a spin - sometimes it's better to just feather the throttle Wink
