Yesterday my work brought me to Finland, and I managed to hook up with Jani. He picked me up at work where I had a few hours before flying home. He just got it registered that morning.

I was standing outside when he arrived in the prototipo. In true deTomaso style, I could hear him before I could see him :-).

It's a beautiful car, just painted light blue met, stock wheels and a red interior. The bumpers are really well made in my view, looks very professional, and it changes the car a lot. Everybody can guess my Longchamp is 70s car because of big square metal bumpers, Jani's Longchamp could look 20 years younger (maybe except for the 15" wheels).

We drove around for more than an hour, freeway and Helsinki center. And Jani gave me his old mirrors, which are in much better shape than mine, thanks for that.

It was great to drive another Longchamp, and to finally see the car in real life. It's truly unique now, probably the way all our Longchamps would have looked if the designers had won the battle against the engineers and accountants ;-).

Thanks Jani
