Because we other than you folks in the US, do acutally have real beers!

Most special beers are served at room temperature, this because serving it chilled, kills the flavor and taste of beer, one of the reasons they serve low quality beer as cold as possible Razzer

We know our beers Cool
I never did understand why some people insist trying to get drunk of liquid which has the taste and alcohol level of tap water???

That's as dumb as trying to invent dry water Razzer

Get drunk fast? In average it doesn't take more than three or four beers to make our used to Budweiser visitors totally pissed, and unless I start drinking shots in the US, I never get drunk whilst being over there...
Kid is right in many aspects except for a few. The Northwestern US has a growing beer culture and we don't drink our beer frozen Smiler The most popular hops grown here are bittering hops so subsequently the demograph here loves their bitter style beers like IPA's.

I personally think some of the best beers do come out of Belgium simply because they use many wild yeasts from the region to ferment their beers. Some of the yeast culturing groups do their best to re-create these yeasts but its not the same. I'm partial to more maltier beers with fragrant aromas so german and belgium styles tend to be most of my favorites.

Oh, I sure had some good beers in the US too (locally brewed stuff), and there sure is good beer to be find in the US, but the US doesn't have a beer culture that can be compared to the European/Belgian one.

Bad thing for us, the best known Belgian beer in the US is Stella, which down here is not at all popular... Among my freinds, there is nobody that drinks it, and I don't much like it neither.

To give you an idea of what's brewn in Belgium:
Belgian beer list - 1150 beers!

Note, that Belgium fits about 3,5 times in California!

Nothing is more refreshing then an Ice Cold beer and a shot of Ice Cold Tequila.

Slightly off topic, but one of my personal favorite drinks is a concoction served at a local taqueria called "Super Chevalis" - Modelo Negro with a shot of tequila and lime juice in an ice cold salt-rimmed glass. Now that's refreshing!
Since we're on the subject of beer jokes:

Anybody know how light beer is like sex in a canoe?

It's like f**king near water!!

Personally, I think we've got fantastic beers here in southern Wisconsin.

For complex taste, I'll put a Fatty Boombalatty or a Satisfaction Jackson up against anything I've had overseas. And yes, refrigeration is optional with those two. They're damn good even at room temp, though I find them more refreshing in the summer when chilled.

Any other Wisconsin beer lovers on board?
