BTW, I will be selling my Pantera to pay for the Mk IV kit. My boyhood dream will then be complete and it will be ok for me to die then.

I know you Thom, You had better get the kit built and finished by a professinal. Please take no offence. It will take quite a bit of skill to make a complete car. Then when you go the gas station and they ask. "is it a kit car" You can say "yes" Then you could go on about how you hand laid each strand of fiberglass and it will probobly take you 30 years to finish at witch time you will be dead. really
...Has anybody else noticed that the Gulf/Porsche 917 is 'Sporting' the European Pantera Tailight Lenses??...
...oops, I spoke too soon. They look similar, but Upon Magnification one can see they are NOT the same...
My electric bill would be higher then that list if I did all that welding. Two Pantera 1/4's and a decklid cost more then this? What gives?
The original Mk 1 & II had steel tubs. The MkIV is all welded aluminum plate.
The 427 MkII actually weighed less the the complete Mk IV.
I suppose you can use a ZF in the Mk IV DT but the originals didn't use those.
Are you selling your Pantera without the trannie DT?
Dam now I gotta decide di I pay for the kids college or the GT? Decisions, decisions. These things are nice.

No I wouldn't keep the ZF that is in my car. That would be plain old silly. I would buy that new six speed ZF that Loyd sells through PI. And I would buy the Genisis 427 tunnel port, brand new out of the box. And I am definetly going to paint it red with the white strip and the number one on it just like the one that won Lemans back in 67. My son has one more year in college and my daughter has about four more years. After tyhat is when I will get the car. It will take me that long to sell my car I guess. And the Mark Iv kit isn't even available yet. SO as long as I am patient I should be ok. I am looking forward to it though. I will opt for the full roller though. Bill is right. I am not a very good mechanic.
I guess it won't matter that you won't fit 'cause with the tunnel'7 you'll get wherever you're goin' in no time anyway.

Thanks DeTom for the info., but as of right now I think I will keep my Pantera.
Mark you are just like me. I change my mind back andforth all the time anymore. But still, there is so much work involved in selling your car, thousands of pictures to take and pages to write, that I will start now and if I ever do decide to sell, all that will be done and ready to go.

Marlin I was kinda tempted by the Porsche too, but it just wouldn't be right unless you could afford a two thouseand horse power twleve cylinder to put into it. And I will never be able to even dream about something that expensive.
HAs anyone seen this .. this is the original AC Co. manufacturing in South Africa.
