Do all of the Panteras have speedometers that read in KPH? Mine does, and its the only one I have ever seen.

I think all of the cars meant for European sales came with that speedometer. Was your car originally sold in Europe? I think there are quite a few members on this BB and the Detomaso Forum that have cars that are so equipped.

I am not sure of the cars origin. I don't have much history and it seems that I won't as I have tried. Unless the VIN can tell this.

What do the remainder of your gauges read? For example, does your temp gauge read in Farenheit or Celsius?
If the rest of your gauges are in Italian then you may have a Euro-version Pantera.
If not, then your car is more than likely a Lincoln-Mercury deal with a Euro speedo installed sometime during its life. All US Panteras have MPH.

Mine is a euro version. It is 4903. I am not certain, but I had heard there were five of these cars brought over used by a dealer in New York, even though he wasn't supposed to because of the Lincoln Merury agreement. Maybe you have one of those cars?? I saw one the other day for sale that was like five away from my cars number and it looked a lot like mine.
