The LA Concours is developing into a major event.
I would like to encourage everyone in the So Cal area with a show quality car to submit an application for consideration and/or attend this event. More Panteras were sold in So Cal than anywhere else in the world. This event is in our own backyard. Let’s show these folks the excitement we can add to their show. It is my intention to respectfully and politely “flood” Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance Exhibition Committee with DeTomaso applications each year. If the DeTomaso entries are numerous enough, it may provide the statistics adequate for a DeTomaso class in future. Ferrari has several classes, we have zip. Please help our cause. Bring your Ford era Panteras, GT5 & GT5-S, Charlie Falcone & his Guara, Longchamps, Deauvilles, Mangustas, DeTomaso’s with race history, anyone got a Vallelunga?
Assistance League of Southern California is pleased to present the 3 rd Annual Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance, which will be held at the Rose Bowl and adjacent Brookside Golf Course on June 1, 2008.
The judged event will showcase more than 300 extraordinary classic, vintage, antique and exotic vehicles that include European and American Prewar and Postwar classics and sports cars. More of the ever-popular specialty and competition vehicles will be on display, and food and automotive related vendors will also be part of the event.
There will be a cocktail celebration on Saturday, May 31, 2008, for exhibitors, sponsors and patrons as well as a VIP luncheon and beverage pavilion at the Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, June 1.
This is a beautiful site and accommodates this type of event superbly. There is adequate room for 350 vehicles to be displayed on the 9 th, 10 th and 18 th fairways and a perfect place for the Circle of Winners. There will be a large parking lot directly adjacent to the golf course reserved for Exhibitors only, including trucks and trailers.
