It looks like great weather through out the event and a nice turn out.

Wow! That's a lot of cats in one spot, from what I'm reading you guys had a great event.

Reno is only 3,921KM from my front door, a 35hour straight through drive with just a toothbrush, an I.V. loaded with red-bull and a grand for gas and I could have been there

Wow, look at all those cars! I have never seen so many Pantera in one place.

Is the event going to be in Reno again next year?

I believe the vote is to keep it in Reno again. Everyone enjoyed the track and touring events.

Informal polls by various people were nothing but positive on the event in Reno. Yes the drive is tough for the So-Cal crew, but the positive aspects made it a real winner. There was a good showing from the Pacific West crew with one member driving down from Vancouver. Economic conditions aside, I think the headcount showed an increase in attendance over last year. I would expect a large bump in people attending next year as word of mouth spreads.

The weather was OK. Some afternoon thunder showers but nothing epic. After the display shot above (63 cars BTW), it rained for 1/2hr. As they say in Reno, "don't like the weather wait an hour, it will change".

I would like to thank everyone who made this happen. The list of names is too long, they know who they are. It was a lot of work to shift cities but the results were positive.

We had members come from as far afield as Spain and Australia.

I think the furthest driven would be Doug M. (INZOWHO) from Calgary at around 1350 miles one way, although apparently Art Stephens had covered something like 2,000 miles in a roundabout journey from SoCal.

Maybe you can get the Canadian Panteras truck rolling across country with a group of Eastern Panteras next year

Just OK? The weather was great! Low 80's, some occasional cloud cover to take the sun off of you, a gentle breeze now and then. I've done every Fun Rally since '01 and this year's weather was as good as it has ever been - IIRC, that is.

Hmmmm, I was on the plaza from the start to the very end - I was the last car to leave, in fact. It sprinkled where I was, never really rained, and it lasted all of four minutes, if that. No way it rained for 30 minutes, unless you were under some highly localized storm cell.

Actually, I have to confess. I trailered my car to the Seattle area and drove it from there with the other Panteras Northwest owners. However, Robert O, with the low mile original 74 GTS did in fact drive his from Calgary! Way to go Robert.

I believe that the guy who won the long distance award was a gentleman from Ohio. He had driven approximately 2500 miles one way! I did get the second place award though I never got much more than 700 miles away from home. Mister Oliphant was about 1350 miles from home, I think? Robert probably should have gotten the second place award due to the fact that he was farther from home. If he had to tow his car home, it would have cost him a lot more than it would have cost me. By the time I arrived back home, I had driven more than 3700 miles in eleven days. It was a great trip and I cant wait to do it again!
