I wanted to say hello to everybody and introduce myself.

I've been lurking around this forum for several years and finally joined. I've owned my car since 82 and have participated on many of the Pantera rallies and tech sessions but I've been living in Hawaii since 98 and my participation since has been limited to attending the Rally in Vegas and the Monterey Historics since getting back into the beast when I met up with a fellow member 4NFORD (Dennis) back in 2005.

Attached is a photo but I forgot when it was taken but it's a recent one of my car.

Motor shot - I took this picture at night with a flash. Too much bling reflections... oh well.

This one is for my avatar -

I know or have met a lot of you in person and it'll be good talking you guys through this forum and hopefully contribute.

Best Regards and Aloha,

Bayani

Welcome! I'm still fairly new myself, but have found this forum to be a wealth of knowledge. Makes it easy to do quick searches when troubleshooting. Glad you decided to become more than a lurker Wink I found another owner in Idaho while I was with family over Memorial weekend, and tried to talk him into going online, but its hard to get everyone on the internet

Thanks for the welcome. I know what you mean about getting some people on the internet, sometimes you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

This is definitely a great forum with a treasuretrove of information. I was actually looking up information yesterday on the proper sequence for adjusting lash with solid lifters on my new valve train and found the information here written by Dan Jones, who is well known in other forums as well. I need to put a sofa in my engine bay so I can sit confortably to do this Smiler It's going to take me a few hours Frowner

WHAT???? I only thought there was a secret blue car group. Well, apparently the blue car group was just the worst at keeping the secret..and the red car group is almost as bad. Hmmmm, I wonder how many other secret groups there are.

Was there a secret white car group when my car was white? Is there a secret orange car group that will make themselves known to me soon?

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good info, and people, here.

Hey Robert,

Yeah, now I have a couple of places to cruise in when I get bored. And, like you said, this site has a lot of good info and people.

Congratulations again on clothing line launch. You need a Pantera themed design next. Doesn't have to really identify the marque so it has a wider market but just enough so we know what it is Wink I still have to finish turning my 8 for $20 flea market t-shirts into garage rags.

Oh.... and I didn't know there was a secret red car group. I hope you guys don't mind if mine is Ferrari red Smiler

Thanks George...

I will definitely see you guys again at the Concorso this year. Thank goodness for the new owner and his efforts to make thinks right.

I am bringing a group of friends with me from Hawaii for a road trip with non-Pantera cars (sorry, nobody's perfect Smiler ).

Aloha my friend,

Bayani
Hi Bayani,

My car was lowered when I purchased it. I believe the rear is as low as it will go and the front is slammed too. My guess is that the front coils may have been cut or replaced. I don't know.

To keep everything under and not rubbing I ride on 205/50-16 tires on the front and 315/35-17 tires on the rear. My front fenders are rolled but I have had NO rubbing ever...

Hey Bayani, welcome and as others have correctly noted - GREAT looking car.

When do we get to see the engine?

Welcome again!

Thanks man.... I'll update my first post tomorrow to add an engine shot. Nothing fancy or exotic with this motor. It's one that was build just prior to me buying it back in 1982.

351C 4V with bored .030 over with closed-chambered heads ported and polished by Valley Head Services in California(I wonder if they're still around?). Solid lifters, 11:1 compression ratio, Mindtrain exhaust system and currently has a Speed-Demon 750CFM DP and a sound that'll make you change your shorts Smiler I actual have a set of Flowmaster 40 mufflers I switch to when we go to a local hot rod cruise in.

I just recently had the heads rebuilt and changed to valvetrain components from COMPCAMS (new double roller timing chain, roller rockers, 306S grind solid cam/lifters, etc.). I am trying to sort it out as we speak.
