The owner of the "Blue race car" is Martin Joergens in Germany, and a very good friend of mine.
His car is VIN 6015.
Let me try to find some more pics. We are usually neighbours in large events like Le Mans Classic and I have tons of pics of his beautiful car, prepared by Willi Braun.
Why on earth would you want to put a spoiler like that on anything other than a full race car? Think how hard it would make it to lift luggage in and out of the trunk, let alone the trunk insert. The additional drag it would create would take a good mile or two off you fuel economy at highway speeds.
Sometimes I think race car features are best left on actual race cars. At least a Superbird type wing would not interfear with getting things over the lip as it is attached to the body and clears the trunk lid at its utmost open position. It would also add a good bit of downforce with out adding huge amounts of drag.
Somtimes I wonder if we are any better than the "ricer" guys at all.

Luggage? Trunk? Trunk insert? Are we driving the same kind of car? Smiler

Now THIS is a great argument. I get 8 MPG (10 highway) and would kill for a couple extra MPG.

Don't get me wrong, I love race cars and the way they look. But I also like being able to start the car without having to squirt nitro down the injectors. I like coming to a stop without the engine dieng and being able to go from a stop light without either stalling the engine or frying off your $800 a piece tires. I can bearly get in and out of the car now without a roll cage. How on earth would I get in with one. My head rubs the headliner the way it is. I like being able to roll down my windows. I like the fact that my car smooths out bumps and doesn't shake and shimmy like a lumber wago when crossing over railroad tracks.
No sir, let young kids drive around on the streets in race cars. I want none of it myself.
