Congrats LPB. Let's see some more pics of that beast!!

Well, I dunno folks. I had 2 Panteras for 15 years. It was twice the headache of one. Constant work and never a dull moment. I ran out of room collecting parts. It was a great learning experience but I never really had enough time or money to invest in both of them at the same time.

When I finally made the move and sold the 1973 I reinvested most of the money into the 1982 and was able to have one car I could call complete - well, complete at the time. These cars are never really complete.

I do have other cars - what every Pantera owner needs - an SUV and a Cobra SVT convertible. Luxury, convenience and fun - without the major hassles.

Maybe I'm just a wus, but after 15 years, having two Italian girlfriends was more than I could handle.

Congratulations Bill. Usually I like to argue with DEEB, but in this case he makes a solid point. One thing that helps make the task more manageable is to lower your standards like I did. Now instead of fretting about nicks and scratches, I am just happy when one of them is actually on the road! Smiler Have fun and do post more pics! (and Brad, the second car SHOULD be a GT40 and the THIRD—another Pantera Big Grin )

Thanks Brad. If you could see it in pieces in my garage with no doors, no interior and two feet off the ground you wouldn't say that! Hence my agreement with DEEB. At least I never got around to starting any of my winter Pantera projects so at least I can still drive that! Soon Bill will know! Big Grin

Yeah Man...With the likes of Does 200, 4nford,accobra, I picked her up on Ebay. It has the Hall seats, and 45dcoe webbers. I'm going to do a complete rottissore restore like comp2, and Ron. I know this is the right time to buy as these cars are only going up in value.

VERRRRY interesting door. It seems to be missing any form of latching system, as well as any light, rubber bumper or bolt heads. And someone went to the trouble of converting the hinge system to a single, central hinge.

Engine seems to lack an oil pressure sender and plug wiring, the inside of the decklid has some hexagonal depressions that are new to me, a very different shape and the biggest damn hinges I've ever seen.

I think someone sold you a damn kit car and you fell for it.

Larry

Good try, LPB Razzer
April 1st was a month ago! By the way, I have the identical car in Grabber Blue. It matches yours in every detail. Latchless door entry...uni-hinge technology...hidden wire and hose option...and the environmentally friendly closed end mufflers. My biggest beef is the solid core seats. Brutal on the butt.
We should race to see who got the better car!
