Hey guys, noticed the 180's in the pics. I am changing from Cleveland to Windsor and therefore changing the entire exhaust system. This is the time to go to 180's.

I talked some with Kevin (RAPID) but found that his system is very costly. Just wondering if you guys might highlight on where the headers came from and what you had to pay.

Thanks
Steve

Another bad thing about 180s is they add about fifty horsepower to your engine. It causes your rear tires to wear out faster. You also draw attention to yourself even more than normal for a Pantera!! I used to want 180s myself, but with so many drawbacks, I have changed my mind.
The 180s on my car are custom done by a local race car fabrication shop. The tubes are all within a 1/4" or so of being the same length. They cost around $2200 + coating.
I had a set of 180s from Hall Pantera on my car for a few years and I would definately NOT recommend them.I tried them with several exit locations and a few different mufflers and none of them sounded good at all.I have Magnaflow mufflers now and the car isn't any louder than it was with the stock style exhaust. It does, however, sound amazing! I had a chance to ride in a friends car when I was in Vegas who has the same exhaust that Mark has.I was impressed with the way it sounded. It was definately louder than mine but had a great sound. If I was in your position,I would buy the Precision Pro-Formance exhaust and get the Magnaflow mufflers.

Pope: The plugs are not really any harder to change than a stock Pantera. If the headers are designed properly it isn't an issue.

Gandalf: That price was to fabricate everything.Including a bracket that mounts to the ZF to connect the mufflers and the mufflers themselves. The heat shield was part of the installation of the Hall headers.I'm not completely sure it's manditory, but it was there so I figured it wouldn't hurt.It was manditory with the Hall set up though.
Thanks!

Geee guys, the pics are gr8. The 180's sure are pretty, - love to hang a set over the fireplace let alone wrap them round the motor....

Hi Ron. I was surprized to hear you werent impressed with the Hall 180 set....Mine are also pretty old with the internal 'spiralled' mufflers exiting out the sides...seemed to work well..My motor wasnt making a lot of BHP I guess,:- still a 351C, moderate cam & the IDA's.
Sounded gr8 i thought.

Will post short(30sec) video/audio clip, reving her up a bit thru the WEBERS & Hall 180's. See, hear what you think...
