Maybe Someone Knows........

Not knowing the size of them it appears these are the plates that were attached to the valve covers. They are frequently attached to the cross member behind the rear sway bar.

They were originally put on the Mangusta valve covers.
On the Pantera one is usually installed on the rear suspension lower crossmember.

Thanks for the quick response. This guy had a collector car dealership for 35 years, and is taking stock of all of the little knick knacks.

I am not sure that is correct, but perhaps. I DO know they DID come on the Pantera valve covers.

The factory did not install them on the rear crossmember, however. That has often been done by owners; the plates had a nasty habit of coming loose from the valve covers, as only some sort of glue/mastic was used to affix them.

Larry is correct, the ones on the Mangusta valve covers are different. These appear to be the ones off of the Pantera. I'll post a picture of the mangusta ones when I get a chance to get it off the lift this weekend.

I have one screwed in the back to the frame cross member, right below the ZF. Looks real good from behind.

Really? I thought they were one in the same.
I never saw them on the Pantera valve covers.

Wow,where Have I been? Maybe they are from the '60s? I can't remember them either.
