Can anyone tell me how to remove the glass insert from the original mirrors? Are they glued, siliconed...?

Not that I know that much, but from what I got from posts and reading since I got my Pantera, Pantera's come out of the factory without mirrors,(except the latest models80's- 90's).
Dealers and owner installed what they had around or they liked the most: Mustangs, Vitaloni competition mirrors...etc
For example:
Do you have square mirrors(mustang's) little round ones(vitaloni californian's)
That can help the guys to let you know a little bit more on how to remove the glass.

I have mustang (rectangular) mirrors. I was just told they are 67/68 mirrors. I can buy new ones for $100. Done.

Just take a hammer and brake out the glass.
