after much filing drilling and looking for drive belts my Sanden pump is now in Place.

Still a mile away from sending the car to the
A/C specialist for filling etc so I have a question regarding the switch on the console.
My switch has a wire linking "A" to P1, the
soldering is awful and I wondered if this should be there at all?

The alloy spacer on the switch is a badly made item too, but is it Pukka?

and finally I don't have the end part of the switch that is turned to operate the switch can anyone post a pic for me please.

Thanks Pete

Pete you can use ANY Capillary Thermostat for a Refrigerator or Aircon you can find. No need to pay 150$ and shipping. I am 100% sure your A/C Specialist stock them. If you already have the Knob you are lucky then you can search for a Thermostat that matches the Knob. Otherwise Maplin has a bunch of Knobs in stock.

Here is a link to the electrics of the A/C control, the Thermostat is called the "icing" Switch here but is actually a Thermostatic Control Switch.

Thank you for that information, $150 is a big amount for the switch, I will ask around here now and get more info, being a bimbo with this stuff is a bit embarrassing so grateful for the help.

I thought my switch was an original one having the nomenclature on the chrome washer, how wrong can you be

thanks again Pete
