I typically run the tubes forward. Hard to say how well it works without filling a dry engine and running it and then making the mod on the same engine dry. I crack the fittings when it's being coolant filled to burp the air in the back---that does work. I can not say if it help with cooling or not, sorry.

This was a plus .030 stock crank quench 4V headed Cleveland that dynode at 502HP best pull after timing and jet tweaking. A good driver the original customer ran it maybe 2000 miles a year---it was sold last year.

Those Valve Covers are not for everyone! That said I kinda like them. Not to try to Fake anyone out, just liked them. Back in the day you could get them from Hall Pantera! $400 a pair! Ouch! And, no they don't have them any longer! I don't like them that much! lol That said, if someone wanted to part with a Pair for under $200 I'd be interested!
