Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, but am by no means new to the Pantera. I have been around them my whole life. I never even knew this forum existed until I stumbled across it today.
So, I've had a Pantera project for a while and haven't been able to figure out where to go with it. I'm hoping you guys can help.
What I have is basically a roller that has been sitting for more than 10 years. It was originally a standard '72. In the late 70s it was outfitted with Gr4 flares and raced on many Southwest racetracks for about 10 years. In the late 80s it was involved in a bad accident at Rivereside, just before they tore the track down. After that, both front and rear clips were cut off and the car was outfitted with one-piece fiberglass clips cast from molds of John Storey's IMSA racer. It was raced a few years in this form, but was put in storage shortly after that and this is how I now have it.
So, my dilema is... I want to get it back to racing form again, but to be honest, I am not in love with the current body. I have always liked the Gr4 flares and would like to get the car back to that configuration. Does anyone know of stock-looking figerglass fenders (front and rear) that I could put on the car with zeus fastners? I remember a tube frame drag car I saw at Vegas in the late 80s that had original-looking body panels that were all fiberglass and fastened with zeus fastners. Can anyone help me with this? If not, I'll probably just bring it back to life as is...
Thanks,
Scott
