No, no, no. The point of these is they don't need any air. You never get a flat. You run them till they are bald and buy new ones. No more spares. No more changing flats.

Too darn ugly to ever consider putting on my car either. Even if they are free and last 100,000 miles.

I have to admit they are pretty ugly! Although I do like the no flat idea.

so do the ribs/spokes get harder or softer with use, and how many miles before they are too hard or too soft?

any off-road motorcyclists out there who have ever used a Michelin bib-mousse know exactly what I'm inferring.

Michelin is always trying to re-invent the wheel. Does anybody remember the TRX tires of the late '70's?

They could rap the rubber around and make it appear to be a regular tire... stop the spokes from filling up with dirt or mud

Good point. Imagine how horrifically this could alter the balance. Im sure in the fine print it says "Dry summer on road use only"

I believe I read somewhere that the tire will have a "traditional" sidewall look for the very reason of keeping out debris to maintain balance. The idea behind the promo pics we see is to show the "look ma, no air" design concept.

I cant read. I just look at the pretty pictures. Its why I like the newspaper.
