Hi All,

Thought I'd share a pic of my 1750. I'm just very happy to finally own a Pantera. Big thanks to other forum members for your help in my quest! Particularly Ron(PanTTera) & Peter (Morion).

I've already put the forum information to good use. The car is solid and rust free, but it had couple of bugs to work on to make it actually driveable, starting with clutch and battery. Fixed the heater operation and leaks as well, and still need to look at the AC and rear wheel bearings. Smiler
The engine does smoke when cold, so one more on the list for long term. Maybe valve seals or clearances, or it sucks oil from pcv at high vacuum with choke on...

And I was surprised how solid it's to drive, with no squeeks and rattles being used to vintage Mustangs. Not to mention how much fun on twisty roads. And it's just timelessly cool in every way Big Grin

Thanks guys,

I need to take some fresh pictures once the weather clear up a bit. Smiler

Not worried about the issues, the most important is the solid body and lots of stuff is already upgraded: Suspension bushings, Carrera shocks, Fluidyne rad, Sanden AC compressor and new hoses, seats etc. There're really no mods or hacks that would be irreversible.

Congratulations Janne. The car looks great and it sure complements your house (I assume) very well.

Regarding the wheel bearings, check to see if there is any sloppiness when pulling/pushing laterally (in line with the axle) the top and bottom of the wheel/tires while the car is (properly) jacked up off the ground. It is an easy way to tell if they are really bad or not. No sloppiness is good. Much movement at all (in/out) is bad. Don't risk driving fast if the bearings are gone as the collateral damage from failure can be unpleasant. From the looks of your car along with what has been done already to it, I suspect Bill is right and they will be in good shape unless the car has very high mileage.

Have fun and enjoy the ride!

Mark
