Hey guys/gals!
I was eagerly awaiting (and suppose everyone else here as well) for the new Pantera to be unveiled, but it didnt happen!
Whats the hold-up?? ... and from the spy video and heavily camoflaged car footage thats on the net of the new pantera driving out of a factory of sorts ... i dont think that i am going to be very excited or impressed by the look and shape of the car if that is actually going to be the one ...
... Anyway, i had it pointed out to me by a mate and fellow pantera owner here (John Attard), that the new Mustang has been announced and it has a supercharged 351 with 650hp and its apparently the most powerful production V8 ever produced!!
.... Now this conjures up some very arousing and exciting thoughts of a new sleek sexy, wide body retro design Pantera car, based on our beloved panteras with an actual Ford 351 in it as well continuing on the same tradition, but a modern version of the old!!!
How incredibly cool would that be ..... eh?? ... and 650hp would only be the beginning, the possibilities after tweaking ... could be a serious supercar??!!
I really hope that they wont 'ugly-fy' and stuff up the looks of the new Pantera, how nice would it be if the shape was kinda based on the old one with vaguely similar sillhouette and sharp lines!
.... Anyway, did they possibly delay the unveiling of the new Pantera, (because wasnt it going to have a chev engine or something else?), but now that this 351 is coming out, that they possibly want to put that in it instead?? ... I hope so ... !!
In a dream land, i really wish i was on the Pantera design team (or some Pantera owner volunteers), and had input and the final say of the actual car that would be released, because i would bloody well make sure that it would live up to and continue on the Legend of the original and not some makeshift modern looking sports car that blends into the sea of mediocreness and un-inspiring vehicles that we see being designed in this day and age ... cars just dont have the lines and much character n detail and timeless shape in them like they used to, how depressing ...
