Was wondering how many volts is suppose to get to the distributor to start the car. I have only about 5 or 6. I thought there was suppose to be around 12. I bypassed the "white box"(for lack of better words) on the firewall. I am now getting the 12 volts and a nice blue spark. What does this "white box" ( on the pasenger side toward the top by the volt regulator on the firewall) do? Control the volts going to the distributor? If so how many volts is suppose to go to the distrbutor in a Pantera? If my "white box" is bad what's it called and where can I get one. And lastely can I by-pass it all together? I am upgrading the car with a Performer intake and Holley performance carb. Also putting on a Mallary system and a hotter coil and getting rid of the points. Thanks for the input
