NPC: Travel to Scotland

I think Scotland is the same as Europe and they are 220v at the outlet ...I;m not a electricain but I used an adapter on my USA cell charger and the phone charged up in like 1 -2 hours tops. Tell him to buy the adapter in the airport in UK.

Look closley at the spec's on the charger. Many, like Nokia are rated for 120-240V input and will self regulate. All you will need is the adapter to convert the North American plug to the British system. The adapter has no electronics, just changes pin configurations. I went golfing in Scotland a few years ago and had no problems. Like the earlier poster said you can pick one up in the airport.
