Oil dipstick leght?

Hi to all! Wish you a happy new year!

If got a question:
What is the measurement of the oil tip stick for a Cleveland block.
I like to measure it from the block surface where the hump in the oil dipstick tube sits, to the “full“ and or “add” mark on the dipstick.
Is it right, that it does no mater what kind of oil pan I use because the important thing is the minimum clearance between the oil and the rotating crankshaft?

Here you go:

length of tube below the ridge (hump) that bottoms out on the engine block = 9 15/16 inches

full mark on the dipstick is 11 9/16 inches below ridge

add mark on dipstick is 12 3/8 inches below the ridge

These measurements were taken from a stock tube and dipstick when a fellow PCNC member replaced them with a Lokar unit.

And yes, any oil pan will work if you maintain clearance and reference your dipstick with the above measurements.
