Those sneak shots aren't necesarily fair. I use State Police details on a highway construction project. We hire them for eight hour shifts. We primarily need them at the beginning and ends of the shift, to help us set up and break down huge night time work zones on the interstate. Traffic respects those blue lights.

Whatever they do in the meantime to stay alert while they're on standby is fine by me. Best part is, I know a lot of State Troopers, and that has benefits too.
