I have some rust in the B-post att. to the center rocker panel. One of my options is to replace the outer rockerpanel to get to the problem. The second option is to cut out a part of the outer rockerpanel and weld it back after the problem is fixed.

I also have som rust in the back of the front wheelhouse. Replacing the outer rocker panel give me good working space and saves time (I hope. Roll Eyes)

The rocker panels on a Pantera are, as you all know, three-piece: an inner, an outer and a center piece, all welded into a triangular assembly with a vertical center divider. As-stock, the assembly has a slight convex curvature as well.

Any recommandtion of vendors who has the (aftermarket)parts that fit the car properly?

Or is parts from DeTomaso SPA the only way to go?

I had small rust bubbles in the driver side rocker at the A pillar. When we cut it open, we discovered that fine dust had collected at the base of the A pillar and provided a mositure trap that rusted that pillar base completely away. Luckily, the areas around it and down the rocker were very healthy. We decided to open the rockers at the other A pillar and both B pillars. While not as badly rusted, they all had collected the same dust and were all in the process of rusting like the first one. We did a little work on all of them and left a rectangular hole at the base of each to alieviate the problem in the future.
I'd suggest opening up the rocker at each pillar and checking things out. Then just weld in the panels you removed. I wouldn't mess with rocker replacement unless you find that they are badly damaged. Mine were surprising healthy once we got in there.

I have already asked Jonny about the rocker panels. He dont sell these panels, but he gave me some good advices and ideas Smiler

I have fabricated a new "B" pillar base and a new senter rocker panel(from the door and back) is already welded in place.

I will only replace a part of the outer rockerpanel(from the door and back) This panel is not finished yet -but it will be soon.....
