Hello,

This car was on eBay but was not sold; currently, the asking price is $80K (I believe it is high)and it is now listed in Hemmings classifieds; it is located in Pasadena area in CA; I live about 45 mins away but I do not know much about Panteras; would anyone has any info on this Pantera? And any available inspectors in the area to look it up for me, for a price of course? Thanks,

Gaby

This is the Seller comments:
"The engine, transmission, and paint color are all original to the car. The seats are also original to the car but have been reupholstered.
The vehicle spent it's entire life indoors and covered when not in use. There is no rust or corrosion on the body or chassis whatsoever.
The VIN is: THPNMT05014
The vehicle can be viewed and inspected on an appointment basis."
OK guys, more details about the car:

"The vehicle has no modifications except for the fuel delivery system and cooling system. The stock Motorcraft carburetor and intake have been replaced with an Edelbrock intake and Holley carburetor. This was a common upgrade for these cars as the stock unit was unreliable and troublesome. The stock air cleaner was also replaced with a free flow style unit to match the carburetor. The valve covers are aftermarket.
The cooling system was upgraded with a two speed thermostatically controlled fan to facilitate cooling.
All of these changes were done by the previous owner.

Ideally, have your vehicle inspector call me to schedule an appointment. You can email or call me as well. We can meet at the El Monte airport where the vehicle is being stored currently."

What do you guys think? Should I make an offer? any inspector available for Pasadena area? Thanks,

If you live 45 min away, the first thing I suggest you should do is go and see it in person.

Maybe you can't fit in the seats?

Maybe your upper body is too tall, and you would have to drive with your head cranked sideways?

Maybe you would look at it, and it's just not for you?

(Stranger things have happened).

You will get about 1000% more out of a personal visit, even if you know very little about Panteras. And there are a bunch of "Buyers Guides" around..

Here's one:
