I am speaking in Indianapolis next week, plan to head over to Mecum when its over. (Should change out of rotted fruit stained shirt first!)

There's a Yellow Pantera, quite original looking that's being sold there. (Go to the Mecum site and pull it up; I was unable to attach a link.)

If anyone wants me to check it out, would be glad to accomodate.

There appear to be 4 Pantere (I finally found out that Pantere is the Italian plural form of Pantera) up for sale at Mecum.
On Thursday they're auctioning a bronze '72 Pantera rebuilt by Steve Edwards and claiming 531HP ...
Lot T300

On Friday there are two, the first is the '72 yellow with 310HP:
Lot F213
Then a white '72 with 450HP:
Lot F306

On Saturday the print listing of all cars includes reference to LOT 59.1 "1974 De Tomaso Pantera 4-Speed" However, I can't find a photo listing of the car (and what's with the '4-speed' reference) - both lot S59 and S59.1 are missing, maybe they'll show up later.

Nice work! I didn't realize there were multiple "Pantere" available. Only saw Lot 213.

Wish I knew how to do the linky thingy you're doing but just not that smart. Thanks for posting.

I won't get there til Thursday night. Happy to ogle, review, call.

Me too. Sucker for originality, and that one has got it.

The ZF in this one looks like it's from a BMW M1.

The ZF bolts look like they were from the Titanic however. Clean as that car appears elsewhere, what a shame. Will be interesting to see what these cars bring.

Well that settles it then! Spoken like an attorney who can uncover the hidden truth inside the misstatment! Well done.

Looking forward to getting in a couple hours at Mecum on Thursday night. Thanks to the Indy PI guys who've offered to meet! Would be GLAD to meet you at the auction if that fits into your life. I'm there very briefly, but need a car fix.
Didn't watch any of it on TV, but the yellow car was nice. Really clean, really well done. There were two others; the white car was good, yet the other one (red?) not so nice.

On a side note, a Tiger Mk 1A that had what appeared to be unoriginal corvette blue metallic but was very clean overall, brought 60k. Whoa. By any measure, the Pantera is a bargain.
