Shift Knobs: We designed our Pantera shift knobs to mimic the ones used in the C5-R racing Corvettes that run in LeMans and Sebring. Their vertical, pistol grip design leads to solid shifts, give you added leverage, and keeps your hand and arm in a very natural position. They are machine lathed out of Delrin and hand finished. The shift knobs are silky soft to the touch, and will always maintain a general ambient temperature. They will never be too hot or too cold. No more burning your hand after your car has sat in the hot California sun all day. The Delrin also acts as a vibration dampner. Less transmission noise is transferred through the shifter and in the Pantera, the shift gate rattle will also be largely reduced or removed entirely. While the shift knobs are 3 1/4 inch tall, only half an inch sits above the shift stock (see figure at bottom of page). This means that your hand position will be considerably lower, essentially turning your OEM shifter into a short shifter for quicker shifts and better looks.

Shift Plates: The Panteras had the shift pattern labeled on the shift gate. Over the years, many gates have been removed, changed or maybe even covered with one of our shift boots! With the unique gear layout, a constant reminder is needed and our aluminum shift plates are the answer. The shift pattern is clearly anodized in black and the thick aluminum plate is backed with heavy duty 3M adhesive. Simply clean the mounting surface with denatured alcohol, peel off the adhesive's protective film and stick on.

Shift Boots: Give your Pantera interior a new look by installing one of our shift boots. The boots work with all years of Panteras. Your shift gate will still be used and the install is quick and easy. Design your own color combo via pull down menus on our website.

How far down does the knob go below the threads?
(My lever has been cut about three inches.)

Thanks.

Wink

My suggestion is to try the SHO club pages. Show them the pictures of the Pantera knob, boot, and plate, and advertise for a shift lever. You are bidding on the entire shifter assembly which you don't need.
My boot doesn't need replacing yet. Most probably won't.
I can probably give you dimensions off of mine and digital pics if you need them.
Yes it does have a z shape to the lever and you won't be able to make it as long as the Pantera knob because of that.
The stock knob is long and just shortening it will shorten the throw on the shifter.
Did you look at matching the lever handle knob on the Pantera emergency brake handle to the shift knob?
