LOL Actually the entire manifold and carbs can be changed back and forth with the single 4 barrel; in a little over an Hour. In an effort to get the best possible MPG, I am ALSO experimenting with running a single 600 cfm Holley carb. Down from a 750 cfm. Both with Vacuum Secondaries...

The trans-am Boss 302 used this set up without spacers. The carbs were dominators and they were mounted sideways to make them fit. Even with that an offset distributor needed to be used.
The Dominators have four corner idle. The set up runs surprizingly well.
Hey Marlin. Is that one of them "Tunnel Ram" intake manifolds from the old days of pro-stock? Instead of taking the spacers out, you could make them six or seven inches higher and have the carbs clear the top of the hood, and then change how your hood opens and closes by pivioting it from the back instead of the front, or better still have the whole rear end of your car swing up like the good old Ford GT40s used to do. In fact it does look kinda like what was used on the MKIV. It was a dual quad setup too.
