Flipping through tv stations looking for something to watch this afternoon, I came across the old police show "Hunter" that starred former NFL player, Fred Dryer. I hadn't seen the show in over 25 years as it ran in the late 1980s. In this episode, a beautiful white wide bodied Pantera belonging to the episode's villain is prominently featured. I certainly didn't remember it from then.

There is one also in an episode of the TV series, "The Importal" that stared Christopher George and his wife Linda Day (George).

They had used a lime gold 68 GT500 in the "movie".

I have no documentation on them but I think both of those cars belonged to Rick Nelson then and some kind of a deal went down to use them in the film and series?

As far as I know the Nelson Twins, Gunnar and Mathew, aka Nelson, still have the Shelby. I think that they sold the Pantera though?

Hey Garth, is banzairunnerpantera.com up? I just got a dead link

Yes unfortunately, www.banzairunnerpantera.com is no longer. The website was taken down.

Maintaining the website took a significant investment of time and money (just ask Chuck Melton or Mike Daily), so after almost 14 years of hosting the website I decided not to renew the domain or my hosting contract. I found that I just didn't have the time to properly maintain it; frankly, I hadn't made any updates in almost 2 years!

Some folks have reached out to me over the last few months looking for specific content when they found the website was no more, and I've sent them PDF's of the desired content. I will be transferring much of the content to other sites such as the Internet Movie Cars Database (IMCDB) http://www.imcdb.org/ and other sites as I have time.

Thank you everyone for all the support and favorable comments on the website over the last 14 years.

Cheers!
Garth

I found the movie online. The Mustang GT500 is the last few minutes. they sure did treat it like they stole it

The Pantera is going to be tougher to find. It was on an episode of the tv series.

I don't think it aired more then one year so the number of episodes that you need to thumb through is not a great number.

The last time someone referred to my GT350 as a Mustang was at a car show. A little prick with a XKE resented that it be parked too close to his car.

Too bad. It was a nice Jag. Wink
