FYI

Matt Stone, executive editor of Motor Trend, is a serious DeTomaso fan. He is a former columnist in Pantera International magazine, the former editor of POCA Profiles. He's still an honorary member of PI. He has owned several DeTomaso automobiles.

I believe somebody told me once he was also a past president of POCA, but I can't verify that at this time, can any long timers verify that?

Matt authored a book years ago, the Pantera Buyers Guide.

Kevin (RAPID),

Correction on the Matt Stone 72L timeline...I bought the 72L with the "gas cap on the roof" from Matt in 1992. Drove it to Arizona, Owned it four years, replaced the suspension and rebuilt the motor, and did some ignition work before selling 4357 to a fireman in Glendale, who later added a wing, removed the legendary Matt Stone roof cap, and repainted the car yellow. Steve Julius then bought it from the fireman and has since done a thorough restoration.
