The dates and location for the Pantera's Northwest Fall Cruise have been set for September 6th,7th and 8th at Pateros, Washington. The main group will leave from Seattle (location TBD) Friday morning and cruise to Pateros (about 3 1/2 hour drive) with a stop for lunch along the way. We are staying at the Pateros Lake Shore Inn (WWW.pateroslakeshoreinn.com) on the Columbia River. That evening you can just hangout by the river with friends and enjoy the scenery or take a drive thru some of the local mountain roads. Saturday the group is heading to Winthrop, Washington to participate in thier vintage car show(pre-registration recommended at www.winthropwashington.com/eve...vintage-wheels-show). Winthrop is about 40 miles north of Pateros with a couple options to get there. Option 1 is up the Methow River Valley. Twisty and beautiful but no real opportunity to let the cats stretch thier legs. Option 2 is to head north on Hwy 97 then west on Hwy 20 which is called the "Loop Loop Pass" for a reason. I would never condone exceeding the posted speed limit but this road is well suited for it. Limited access, lots of curves and a good road surface. Either way gets you to Winthrop where those who wish can enter in the vintage car show, listen to live music, enjoy the local microrewery(I recommend),check out the very eclectic mix of vintage cars, or all the above. Dinner Saturday night will be back at the Lake Shore Inn in Pateros for a night of relaxing with friends. Sunday, after a group breakfast those that are not staying longer will most likely head back to Seattle via the North Cascade Hwy.. A very scenic drive over the Cascade Mountains. We typically have 10 to 20 Pantera's show up for the fall cruise and it's always good to have new cars and faces show up. Come Join us.
