Let's think about my idea in GT5s discussion.
We create a public mail adress anyone can use. You log in, you send your data to another unpersonal mail adress in a specific form.
Data is automatically inserted into sales/buy price list and year kind of car and condition and creates automatically a statistics with
sales price decelopment over the years...

We collect data and first time the resulting chart can be seen will be when we have at least 10 cars of one kind so no one can be identified in terms of price for his car.

Another option to fill the list with additional data would be to add cars that were inspected and offered but it did not come to a business.

If you ask whom, I could do so, I have a master in computer science.

I think that data would be very interesting.

It would be fascinating to have this database (as it starts to get traction) associated / available with the (a) Registry.

The ProvaMo site is where I go to investigate cars anyway as soon as I have some interest - it would also be great to be able to see relatively current pricing data for similar configuration vehicles.

Of course, integration of the data being proposed, and ProvaMo (for example) is another challenge, some are not registered there, and it's really two databases (at this time) that we are talking about.

Of course I can't speak for Chuck Melton - I am just describing one enthusiast's (mine) ideas & methods.

But I like the idea.

Maybe it could be linked here, as well somehow.
Well I could project and develop something like this and deploy it/give it to the hands to provamo and pantera owner.
Or I myself host the data on my webserver and we link it inside both sides, whatever.

Another way is to create a site where you can type in your data and it is added to the chart after a validation of the data. Not even the public mail adress stuff would be necessary.

I could start something just to advertise how I would look like and present it here and we could discuss what to do and what to change and you all can give your proposals.

I would be surprised if many owners would disclose their private transactions other than to a close friend. In addition to the confidentiality /privacy respect to the buyer previously mentioned, these asset transactions that reflect a gain are taxable to the seller. I suspect that not all sellers accuratley reflect that gain on the tax reporting. If they are to be thorough in their obfuscation, they may not wish to publicize the number in a public forum where the IRS can pursue discovery.

Yikes!! If that's the case, and I'm not doubting it is, then all the time and money invested in the car to make it more valuable should be tax deductible?
I have to pay capitol gains tax on investments in the market but if I get a steal of a deal on a car and sell it later for a big profit, it's all mine to keep.
