There are no Pantera SIs in the USA, is that correct? I could swear I saw a red one in Livonia, MI in the early 1990s. I have been dying to see one of these, as it is one of my favorite cars. It's something I would travel to see.

Considering only 39 were made, I can't imagine they come up for sale very often. But when they do, what do they normally sell for?

None in the US that I am aware of other than Pat Mical's conversion of an early Pantera, last I saw photos of that it was orange.

The last one I saw for sale in Germany was in the $150K range if I recall and that was some time back when GT5S values were still in the mid 70K region and lately those seem to be well over $100K.

Maybe when the Si's get to 25 years old someone will be able to get one into the US, if and when one comes up for sale. I have to agree they are beautiful cars.

Pat Mical (and "future auto") has been in the Pantera business for quite a while.

I know they can rebuild Ariston shock to fully adjustable Koni configuratiins.

His name show up in a lot of the magazines and tech data I have seen back into at heast the mid-90s. Alway with good reviews.

I am sure others can comment as well...

Hi Denis, Thank you for the links. I actually watched those videos the other day, and that's where I remembered that they had popups. But I can't use that footage, because it's someone else's and it's probably copyrighted. I'm hoping that I can find an Si that I can take the footage of myself or have someone send me some shots of their car with the headlights popping up.

BTW, how long have you had your Mangusta?

Chris
Chris, Here is the list of Pantera Si as registered in Chuck Provamo site. As you can see no real Si are noted as being in NA. Doesn't mean there aren;t just none registered. One owner active here but residing in Europe is Charlie McCall, drop him an email, who knows.

I bought my Mangusta in spring of 2009, see the intro here. http://pantera.infopop.cc/eve/...50045562/m/625100531

You wouldn't get one into the US until they are 25 years old, Canada could be a go with the 15 year import rule.

Why not make contact with the Youtube poster in Japan and see if you can get his permission to reuse some of the footage?

Julian
Thank you very much for your help, guys! I was able to talk to someone on here who has an Si, and he said he would be happy to send some clips. If I don't hear from him, I might ask permission to use the footage that's on Youtube.

Also, thank you for posting the registry! I emailed a couple of my friends from Germany and asked if they had seen one there.

Chris
