OK, I helped you guys with the Webers. Now I need help with the tach.
I have a Duraspark II system in the car and can't get the tach to work correctly.
It wouldn't work at all with the one wire hook up from the distributor.
It won't work at all with the factory connection in the dash.
I have it showing me 1000 rpm whith the engine running with two a two wire hook up from both sides of the coil.
I was thinking that maybe that's the correct hook up but the polarity is wrong.
Any ideas?

Doug,

The Pantera's tach is electronic; it needs 12 volts, a good ground, AND one wire attached to the negative terminal of the coil.

Here's a topic from a while back, we helped Dennis with his tach, some good info and a few good laughs too. It's long, about 9 pages. One of the later pages has a good photo of the back of the tach from under the dash:

Does the wire from the - coil terminal just need to be connected to the tach or run through it?
I ran a dedicated wire to the tach from the - terminal, tested the ground for continuity, ran a + supply to the other tach terminal.
Took the tach to a tach repair guy. He tested it, cleaned it. Said it works fine and was right on.
Plugged it in still doesn't work.
Went and bought another Pantera tach. Plugged it in, it doesn't work. Can you hear me screaming all the way to Australia.
It's the freakin' Emus, I know it is. Here Emu, here Emu, nice Emu.
