Hi, I've just recently purchased a 72 Pantera GT-5 Clone. It has a noticable vibration when the car is under acceleration or deceleration. At neutral throttle at speed the car rides smooth, so I expect that it is somehow related to an engine miss or timing or even a bad motor mount. Has anyone had this problem? Are the motor mounts prone to failure?

If you have a driveline problem causing a vibration you need to be carful that it does no damage to other parts. I had an unbalaced drivshaft in my 600 hp drag car that cost me 3 trabmissions before I got to throw it over the fence. I bet you could shake a zf in two easily.
I'd love to be able to throw the ZF over the fence. To me it seems they are the weakest link in the Pantera and the most expensive thing to fix. You can rebuild 2 decent motors for the cost of rebuilding a ZF. Pesonally, I don't think the ZF is worth the money.
