What year car do you have? The early cars did not have the pinch weld lip notch on the cover (you can see the notch on the left by the red mark locator) and most of the cars had the top open where the headlight bucket supports are. Look to see if the tops are open or not. If yes, you should cover the opening or make the cover plate like this picture. I can send you a copy of the shape if you need the modified shield to cover the top opening.

This was a test fit---no paint or mounting screws in the pic.

Peter,

Please send your address to my amerisport@gmail.com address. I will make you a paper pattern today---How do you want it sent?

I just made permanent patterns to produce the shields to market so your request is timely Peter. I have been making these by hand for 30+ years and it's time to "fire up the laser"
Peter, I have just seen this request, my car is being rebuilt at the moment and all the panels you are wanting are hung up in my garage awaiting refitting, you have my telephone number, like you I am also a novice at this rebuilding thing, please ask me and if I can help I will.
I could have easily supplied templates to you. Saying that my car is a 73L narrow body.

Regards Richard.

Hi Kirk! I'd be interested in a set of those shields.

Nice work, Peter!

Now you should spray them with bedliner (the black rubberized material on the rest of the car) so that you don't have too much "bling".

Or you could polish them, and put colored LED Lights in the tops of the fenderwells!

Seriously, though - very nice.

Rocky

Hello Rocky,

I will get them stone chipped in black, and the same for the rear ones too.

I would like to make some for the rear of the rear ones if you get me to stop the muck flying up to the back of the car.

I have already been castigated for not daubing orrid black stuff over my carefully cleaned and painted rear underbody suspension area.

But it took so long to get to look clean and tidy sod it its staying that way,
