Too bad the end of the tips angle upward so severely.
Jeff,
there was an owner at the PI BBQ in December with the PIM mufflers on his car, who had sawed the angled tips off, it does not affect the operation of the muffler one iota, as the tips are merely decorative. Like you, I do not like the angle. They looked much better with the angle tip removed.
I e-mailed the manufacturer a couple of months ago & asked if they would make a "one-off" muffler to my specs, they never returned the e-mail. Someday I'll give them a phone call. In my opinion the mufflers are too long, but it is a standard size for this manufacturer.

To be fair Brad, they aren't THAT loud. Yeah louder than Ansas, but not as loud as you would think a muffler of this design would be. Its basicaly a large glass pack, there are no baffles inside, the can is merely lined with sound deadening material. It has a nice mellow - low tone to it. It is definitely quiter than some of the other aftermarket systems out there.
The fact there are no baffles makes this a great muffler for a built up motor, where the power goal is over 400 bhp.
