Nice meeting you to Coz that NSX was running down some Pantera's at the track.

If you missed Vegas one of the great things is there is something for everyone. Just check out Chucks all original yellow Pantera with only 16,000 original miles. He drove it at least 240 miles to the event in Vegas and another 240 back home

I would like to point out that both of those red cars were on the track Thursday & Friday and in the display on Saturday. I think that is pretty cool!

Yes, way cool.

Wide body is Darryl Johnson of PCNC - 545 big block, gobs of HP and torque. He just found an aluminum block and will put it in one of these days Eeker

Red #57 belongs to our own Kevin Hubby - Rapid - who once again was a $2000 sponsor of the track event!!!

He lunched the motor in his Mazda on lap three - fresh motor - and then took out his Hall Super Pantera!

Kevin is the best - hope you all get the chance to meet him at one of our events.

Larry
Besides his support of the track event, I want to also mention Kevin's extreme generosity in giving SO MUCH for the POCA Fun Rally Raffle.

Kevin is 1 in a million and truly a great guy. Wendy is 1 in 2 million and truly a sweetheart, especially considering she puts up with all of us...

They are both very special people. I would be there anytime for them whatever the need is. I'm proud to call them both my friends.

Poor little rice burner - needed tape to hold it together. Big Grin

First time I heard it, I thought the track guys were trimming the grass with a weedeater. Big Grin

Most of the Panteras felt sorry for the little thing, and waved him past just to make him feel better.

The seaweed green paint job with the brown rice interior was rather nice, though. Wink

Needs a personalized plate, something like ... flyd lyc ... or ... saki brnr Razzer

Love ya Coz , really I do. Smiler
The tape was for weight, was trying to weight it down to give others a chance to catch me. To be fair, I should probably race with the emergency brake on next year.

I'm sure their arms got tired from doing it so much Big Grin

Was thinking about: FRDRICE, but I do like the SAKIBNR though. Have to stick to 7 letters.

can I give you guys a pointer about showing your car?

I made arrangements to do a couple of stories about cars at the display Saturday. Want to know how I selected the cars? The owners were standing with their cars!!!!!!!!! So I was able to talk with them.

I can't tell you how disappointing it is to go to a show, see a nice car, but the owner is nowhere around to talk about his car. If you're gonna show your car, then go to the show planning to stand with your car. The owner is equally important to a proper display as the car itself.

OK, I'm finished venting.

cowboy from hell
My photographer, Mark Fechser, told me he didn't do a very good job with the pictures, he wasn't feeling very creative the morning of the Pantera display.

His pictures have just blown me away, they are unbelievable. I could do a whole book on just that event. The Fun Rally will be covered in issue 130, it will be a keeper I guarantee you. Pantera event pics like you've never seen before.

I want to keep my options open, I don't want to post any pics I may use in the magazine, but here's a couple more I wont be using.

I must agree that it was hot up there and the only shade was near the south side of the building and at the few tables with covers. It was a nice little show and should get better with time, but we do need some shade that people could use. I didn't bring a folding chair and might have sat with my car if I had one, but not for the entire time. I did make it over to the car and talked with a few people about the engine set up when I saw them standing around for more that a few seconds.
