Anyone out there helping there cubby build a new car for the races? This is my last one with my grandson Alex. He chose a A-10 Thunderbolt theme---lucky me! Here's the starting point.
Congratulations to your Gandson Alex ! Thanks for sharing. Brings back fond memories of building and racing Pinewood cars in cub scouts. Mine were very crude in comparison to Alex's however.

Jim, Any of us that spend that one on one time building something with there kids win equally. A block car with wheels or R2D2 sculpted by a professional father makes no difference. The boys are learning family values and will pass it on.
Thank you all---one small way for me to give Alex an edge when he deals with so much every day having Tourettes, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and ADHD. He is such a loving boy---my joy every day.
Awesome car, and congrats to the team who put it all together.
I still remember my pinewood derbies in the 60s. I wish I still had the two cars my Dad and I made (OBTW - my dad made most of them, but that's OK). Don't let those get away.
