Had myself a Pantera day today Cool work on a few loose ends, and made some progress.

Headlamps installed
Air cleaner installed
Top engine covers fit and final
Doors adjusted
Hood striker hardware changed and striker painted.
Hood latch adjusted
Steering hub pulled and turn signal cancelor changed.
Quick release final mounted
Second attempt for ride height adjusted too lo in the back, too hi in the front.
Worked on decklid lower lift mounts (more love needed here too)
And had a few friends stop by to over see progress.
All in all a very good sick day Big Grin

Mark 6808, Are you concerned about rear body flex? Like decklid touching the rear quarters. Did you see how Jan (does 200) used the rubber bumpers on the deck corner? He had a little peice welded in so he could mount the bumper pad. It is a little late to be welding on YOUR deck. It is on page 27 of the spring 07 PI issue. There is another way to stablize the decklid with hood pins that do not go all the way through. I installed this setup on my car, it is simple and effective. I'll post more detail at your request....
I'm interested Bill, I hate the thought of drilling or welding any thing on this car at this point.

In the long run my goal for 6808, is to be driven, to that end, Sh%t happens. I don't want to be such a freak about the car, that it doesn't get driven.

Back in the day (the third annuall Vegas fun rally) My dad and I drove 1288 fresh from resto to Vegas, rock chipped the windshield on the way there, following a big block yellow Pantera with the fuel cell in the front,(thats all I remeber, I was only 15). The next day Dad says lets go grab some grub, pull into the Peppermill, and he parks at the far end of the lot away from everyone, we are walking into the restruant, and all you here is "CRACK" , a little old lady parked right next to my dads car, and flung her door open into the drivers door of my dads car. My dad looked backed, saw what happened and kept walking into the resturant. He taught me a lesson that weekend "Shit happens" if you can't enjoy it , why have it. By the way,I was 15 years old , wasn't old enough for a permit, yet my dad let me drive the car most of the way home from vegas, all he said was keep it under a 100 and stay in the slow lane.

Hopefully 6808 leaves the garage the best car my talent can produce, but she becomes a driver the second she hits the street.

Regards Mark 6808
