I recently received this request for support:
Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is John Deacon and I am a fellow car enthusiast. My daughter is a cheerleader at Canyon High School in Anaheim, California. This year at camp the girls were invited to perform for the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Unfortunately the cheer association doesn't have the funds to send them. As a father its hard to tell your little one we can't afford to send you to a once in a life time opportunity. Now imagine telling 56 of them. So I'm appealing to my fellow enthusiasts. The organization put me in charge of fund raising, and I'm going to do my best to come up with the money. I've been involved with the car hobby for several years now. So the organization is putting on a car show. Its called the "Comanche Cruise" and its going to be a fantastic show. We have been fortunate to have a local car dealer help sponsor the event. If at all possible please see if you can get a few cars to commit to coming. We have enough space for about 350 cars.
We may not make it to the Pro Bowl this year but I want to have the money if the opportunity ever arises again.
With sincere thanks,
John Deacon
Canyon Cheer Fund Raising
P.S. We are a non-profit organization and each club will receive a participation award and there is also an award for top participation
My southern California friends, if you get tired of the same old routine, the same old events, here's a new one for you to try next year, for a worthy cause. Maybe we Pantera Owners can get together and descend on this show as a group, show the folks what a real car looks and sounds like, raise Pantera awareness, and have some fun at the same time. Shall we try to win that top participation award?
Well Brad, what do you think? Cowboys from Hell? Yeah!
