POCA June 2006 Cover Gary Hall

Gary and Bev have not been around the business answering phones for awhile. Tara Magill, thier granddaughter is who I speak with the most lately.

Both Gary & Bev have been in poor health for a while. I'm not quite sure what they were thinking with the caption, probably were not thinking!

Perhaps it would be nice if the DeTomaso community sent Gary a "Get well" card, complete with printed get well messages submitted by members/owners/customers.

Sure, such and undertaking would not be easy and the "Card" would be massive, but those very things are what make it such a noble gesture. Perhaps an organization such as POCA could put it together?

When I first saw the issue, I wondered if Gary had passed away. I dove into the literature to check but there was no other mention.

Gary had a motorcyle accident while up in Canada a few years back. That was what caused this. He has not been doing well ever since. Gary is a man who loves the Pantera more than DeTomaso did.

I didn't take that to mean anything was wrong with Gary, but I read the emphasis being on the Plaza Hotel. The "good ol' days", in the Plaza....

I have heard Gary is doing fine however possibly a bit burned out on working. Bev has been there and answered the phone on the couple of occasions that I have called and been down to their shop in the last six months.

I also thought that caption was a bit odd. Maybe happier times means at the Plaza hotel?
