I built a MGB with an aluminum 215 Olds motor and had problems keeping it cool. One day I had the hood and air filter of and it started pouring rain, I figured I was ruining the engine.. but the temp went down and I could smell steam from the exaust. I did some research and found a water injection system from JC Whintney. It pumped water into the carb from a dual winshield washer nozzle. It kept the motor cool and the pistons clean too. I don't think it turned to hydogen gas or anything. Maybe I should have added baking soda?
