Me neither. Georgie's holding the cards! I believe this was mentioned by our leader as being in the classifieds, but I couldn't find it... maybe he meant those "other" classifieds.

Anyway, do tell brother George. I'm all for flanning the flames of commerce, a little positive publicity for our side would be a great thing. The 'news' of a world record Pantera price (or just reasonably secure bragging rights) can't hurt the cause.

Thanks!
Always fun to pretend I've got the money - $90 grand in this case - and what would it buy me...

A mid-grade BMW M-1, a #3 Ferrari Boxer, a high #2 Series one E-type, a #1 Maserati Ghibli, or the 'last' and I'm assuming a #1 condition Pantera. I know what most of you guys would pick, but the market will tell whether it's worth it.

Honestly, seems "in there" when you look at the others, especially considering the "last one" status. Fun to ponder. Personally, I hope it brings it.

I can't believe its still for sale.

Its on ebay now. Saw it last night. An awesome car.

Does 200: I thought the same thing. Registering in CA would be a real pain I would think.

Any jurisdiction which uses California regulations, like the lower 5 counties in NY, will have the same problem with emmissions.

I personally have never seen a post-Ford Pantera ever brought into compliance but I would think that someone has done it.

You really aren't required to have an air pump and cats, just pass the numbers.

My personal experience is, forgedaboudit.
The white Amerisport GT5-S is at $50k also. Been there for a couple days so it might not hit its reserve either. Stil has four days left on the bidding though.

That doesn't bode well for Pantera owners when cars this nice, and there have been a few lately, can't hit realistic numbers. Although when you look through the treader magazines and the like many people are selling their "toys". Its a buyers market for sure. Lately there have been some insanely good deals (ie John Holmes' Yellow car, several nice Pushbuttons, this one etc) but it seems the only people who can see that are enthusiasts.

From what I have seen sell on the PIM and PI sites are the "mid" level cars. The ones that need a little work in the $30k-$40k range.

Anyway thats my .02
