Great day out, fabulous weather. Car performed really well, though 1st gear is a bu66er to find - must be a knack there somewhere!
The engine is extraordinary. Idles at about 500rpm, and can pull away cleanly in 5th gear doing about 15/20mph. Ride is very smooth, I suspect because of the high profile tyres and softer olde worlde suspension. Brakes are very squishy, but the front lines were replaced a few days ago and probably need bleeding again. Very slow compared with the TVR, but that will all change...
Steering pretty responsive, but I think it needs tightening up a tad. But a really easy car to drive, with all that low down torque...Wife said: "I like the car, but can we change the colour?" No, dear, we can't. The paintwork is immaculate and I ain't forking out £4000 to have it sprayed a different colour, especially as you will complain about it being noisy, hot, blah blah blah... and won't want to go in it anyway!
