This is the pub, and Pauper Pete is wanting a pair of 10" rear campag wheels.

Pete isn't overflowing with the folding stuff but asks what sort of price can you get a pair for these days.

he has a car with those pop riveted wheel arch extensions that look silly without the right wheels.

Whats the consensus of opinion lads after having a few Pints.

Hi Peter, it's Richard over in Lincolnshire, I have tried to contact you in the past but had no reply from you, I am in constant contact with Mike Miller as we both have recently purchased USA Panteras, you need to keep in touch with us as we are buying parts that we both require together and manage to keep the shipping costs down. Anyway I have ordered (two week ago) a pair of 10x15 rear from Roin in Italy, they are on a 5 to 6 week turn around, if you are interested I could give him a call next week and see if we can get a better deal for two sets or even save a little on delivery costs. I gave up trying to get originals! Richard.

I was referring to Roin, hook up with Richard in Lincolnshire.

By the way, I'm considering having Roin make a set of 10x17 wheels for me this year. This is because the Pirelli P-Zero tyre can be acquired in both 225/50R15 (front) and 285/40R17 (rear). This allows me to install the same make and model tyre front and rear.

I'm waiting to see how much $$ I get back from taxes this year. If I get enough $$ I may go another route. I'm also waiting to see what the future holds for the 285/40R17 tyre. Don't want to rush into these things, better to drink and ponder ideas with your friends on the pub.
Yes George the Tyres are an issue, I will have to go to mixed manufacturers but it is not really too much of a concern as the car will not be of show quality. The car being narrow bodied I have gone for Toyo r888r 225 50 15 for the fronts and will be putting Avon racing 295 50 15 on the rears when I actually get it on the road (still sorting light conversions, wiring issues and issues with the top wishbones. I will have to see how this works when I get the rears and the car road worthy. My car on 7 and 8 came with new matching rubber all round but the fronts being 225 60 15 have caught the inner front edge of the wing and creased the metal work when on full lock! Not too much of a problem because the front has to have some minor works done anyway. The wheels from Roin do look quality and at least they will not need any rework, buying originals are one thing but then having them reworked and tested all adds to the cost.
